Overlapping glazes on a project create a third hue. This is a wheel-altered bowl; the lip is curved down in two places opposite each other. The bowl is about 6.5 cm tall and 12 cm wide. Where the lip flares out, the bowl is 15 cm wide. The glazes used were shadow green and dark blue, and the glazes overlap to create a teal color. Teal's hue is more similar to that of the dark blue glaze, but it is thick and has a slighly uneven color like the shadow green glaze.Overlapping glaze creates an unpredictable blend of the colors and textures of the parent glazees.

There is also transformation of round to square - which is very interesting.
