Uneven glaze creates the illusion of texture on a project. This is a wheel thrown, porcelain, two-piece lidded project. With its lid on, the project is approximately 4.5 inches tall and 3 inches in diameter. There is a thin, pulled handle on the lid. The body is glazed clear and is bright white because of the porcelain. The lid has turquoise matte glaze sponged on and clear glaze over it. Because of the uneven turquoise glaze, the lid appears textured. The method of application of glazes affects how the form of a project is perceived.
