The tall bowl also has a tall footring to further elongate it.

Today.

A tall bowl that I threw today

I just can't get over how well this pumpkin turned out! The stain is a bit thin but other than that I love it.

Here is my second pumpkin. I am going to 'carve' it tomorrow!

Yesterday I threw a pumpkin on the wheel. I made a cylinder, closed it, and used the rubber rib tool to creat the indents that pumpkins have on them. Since I need a hole for it to be fired, I didn't close the stem completely. It has a small hole going straight down into the pumpkin. Today I used footing tools and the rubber rib to round off the bottom, smooth it out, and make it stable so it would sit on a flat surface.

I am pretty excited about this project. I threw a cylinder, closed it, and created a stem with the extra clay. I couldn't foot it, so I used footing tools to round off the bottom. I made a hole so it wouldn't explode when bisqued and created a worm to come out of the hole. Finally, I created a leaf and slipped and scored it on.

Today I footed this bowl that I threw last Thursday. I now have quite the collection of identical bowls at home...

This is my bisqued wheel altered project. I really like the symmetry in one direction that was created.
