The first graded project of the year, a tall project, has a simple, dipped glaze in muted colors to accentuate its form. This wheel-thrown vase is about 10 cm tall. The walls go out the bottom 8 cm and only in the top 2 cm do the walls come back in and form a lip. The vase was dipped in turquoise glaze once at an angle and the surface area of the colored glaze is about the same as the surface area of the clear glaze. The clear glaze is very thin and at first it appears not to be glazed. The light glaze draws attention to the form of the project rather than any accents. The type of glaze used on a project can either accentuate or hide its form..
